Notifications are email reminders that are sent to one or more person based on an event or activity. There are three types:
§ Live notifications, which are sent when an event occurs (e.g. when a record is created, changed, or deleted)
§ Scheduled notifications, which are sent at regular intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
§ User Interface notifications, which are predefined but sent manually from a module record.
You can "force" a scheduled notification to run at any time: right-click on the notification in the grid and choose Run scheduled notification. However, a scheduled notification is only sent if there is at least one record that matches its criteria.
All notifications are logged when they are sent.
To view existing notifications, or to view the log of notifications
that have been sent, click Notifications
on the Shortcuts bar.
