The Incident File allows you to review daily reported incidents that have been assigned in the daily log. The incident file lists all of the incident files and their status.
An incident is often handled and resolved by a single officer, such as a workplace accident - while it may require several forms and input from others, detailed or protracted investigation is not generally required. When an event presents a more complex scenario (e.g. suspected internal theft) a formal investigation may be conducted via Case Management.
A Daily Log entry must exist in order to perform further incident reporting and create an incident file.
