iGNet Plus facilitates the sharing of subject profiles, including any related incident ban details, between separate iTrak systems. This information is shared by email using "Public Key Cryptography" methodology to encrypt information.
Once properly configured (as described below), the process is as follows:
1. The sender opens a subject profile and sends it to the iGNet Plus recipient group (one or more other iTrak system). The profile record, and any related incidents if the subject is banned, is added to the iGNet Plus queue. See Sharing Subject Profiles.
2. If the sender does not have the "Approve Sender List" permission, the record remains in the queue until a user who has that permission approves it.
3. The iGNet Plus Console (run as a scheduled background task) sends approved records to the destination(s) via encrypted email.
4. At the receiving server, the iGNet Plus Console task adds the subject profile to the local iTrak database (or updates it if it already exists).
5. Parties at either end may monitor send and receive actions.
Before a subject profile may be shared, the following must be set up:
1. Assign the appropriate permissions to users who are authorized to send data, approve the send queue, and configure the contacts and groups.
2. Configure the email settings for sending and receiving iGNet Plus data.
3. Set up the contacts you will be sharing data with.
4. Schedule the iGNet Plus Console task to send and/or receive emails.
